Villages Success in Competition

Five local villages have achieved success in Wiltshire's best kept village competition. Sutton Veny came top in the first round of judging for the medium sized villages and Tytherington secured top position for small villages.

Expert judges visited villages to check each settlement for tidiness, cleanliness, presentation and community spirit. Another set of judges will visit for the next round during July with the results of the overall competition on 22nd September.

Large Villages: 1st - Staverton (only entrant)

Medium Villages: 1st - Sutton Veny, 2nd - Heytesbury, 3rd - Horningsham

Small Villages: 1st - Tytherington, 2nd - Bulkington, 3rd - Knook
